I upgraded the IDE IAR from 5.4 to 5.6 and now FET is not detected by IDE. I updated the FET drivers as well.
Any idea please?

ummm..I don't have currently access to my IDE but I am pretty sure that solution won't work just by changing the header file name. I was heard of downgrading or upgrading FET! What do you think about that?
I will keep you updated buddy. Thanks!
What device did you tell the project to use? Is it "generic"? Is it a very new MSP device?
Take a look at the "io430.h" and "msp430.h". It is checking what device you told the project to use and try to figure out what header file of that device is. The error msg you got seem to indicate that it has a problem there.
FET is detected, but FET does not detect the target device. Is the FET configured to power the target? Or is it self-powered? Is the FET configured to power it or to adapt to its self-power voltage? What device (and target board) is it anyway?CaEngineer said:FET is not detected by IDE

The Chip is MSP430F47197.

I changed it to "msp430f47197.h" as follows and have the same error!

Yes the FEt powers the LCD but not the LEDs on Evaluation module. and the USB powers the FET by almost 5 6 voltage as usual. I use MSP430F47197.
And which evaluation module do you use? Did it work before the upgrade? With this board? With this MSP? Check the documentation, maybe you'll have to set or remove some jumpers for properly powering the board from the FET.CaEngineer said:I use MSP430F47197.

As a matter of the fact, there is jumper number 1 that needs to be connected during the programming. It is fine but still have same problem!
