I want to design a very simple serial buffer...it receive on a serial port1 datas and store the received datas in a sram if serial port2 is busy or it transmit the data to port2 if port2 is idle.The serial reception port is very simple...rx tx gnd...no acknoledge signals.But i need on serial port2 rts and cts signals.My idea is to have a 1Mb or 2Mb sram with a low power consumption to store the data.The second need is ultra low power....i need to power the buffer with somme current stoled to the two serial interface...
My question is: what is the best msp430 fitting my application? ( 2 UART and + sram external addressing + very low power consumption).
