eZ430 Chronos Data Logger Mode

Just got my Dev Kit and I try to get it into Data Logger mode, no success. I am using the '*' button, but it does not matter how long I hold it, it will not show in the lower display 'dlg'

Do I miss something? Or is there a cool trick to do it?

Thanks

  • Same here, did not get the watch to log any data.

I think most of us who got hold of the watch are still trying to figure out where is what - perhaps TI needs to send another kit that explains in detail about the product with bug fixes. Probably the product has been released in hurry.

However, if someone has managed to get the watch to record data - please post a 'how to' for us.

    Thanks

  • I think you need to disassemble the watch, erase the "Sports Watch" firmware, download the "Data Logger" firmware, and re-assemble the watch.

There is not enough Flash for both. You either run "Sports Watch" or "Data Logger:"

  • You must be right. Did you try and succeed in loggin some data?

I am not doing it now because I have a different objective - working with the watch as it came.

    Thanks.

  • Hmmm, I not even realized that the watch came with 2 different "operation modes". The pdf just mention to press the btn's untll dlg shows up. I guess I need to dive into the manual again and see where the "Datalog" program can be found.I also just got my cheststrap need to try out how that works with the watch as well. Just do not have the time at the moment, because of other commitments.

Once I do, I will try it and let you know. Anybody has a link to download the dlg script or is it on the CD?

    Thanks for your replies.
