MSP430F5529 EXP board BOM query

Hi,

I drew my custom PCB schematic and design  directly from MSP430F5529 Exp board user guide schematic available at the following link.

I got my custom PCB manufactured. Now I want to populate my PCB. I am in process of procuring BOM.

I am newbie to this BOM notations. Can you please comment on my naive queries ?

1) Spec says R-US-R0603 device or package type for resistors. Can I use any R0603 package type resistor or Is it have to be R-US-R0603 type ?

2) Also for Caps, some of them are package type 805 and other 603. Can I use one package type but accurate cap values ? Or is it have to be same package type as mentioned in spec ?

3) Also for two cap values it has been mentioned DNP and 10uP/6,3V. Can some body comment what do they mean ?

    AFAIK, this naming only refers to the symbol shown in the schematics. US and EU/EN/ISO use different symbols. (zig-zag line vs. rectangle for resistors). "0603", however, is the shape and size of teh pads, and all 0603 devices fit. (beware, 0603 is difficult to solder by hand)

    You can. But for CAPs, size does matter. Smaller caps usually use different material than larger caps to put the same capacitance into the smaller size. Depending on the actual capacitance, this may cause a switch to a material with higher tolerance and/or lower voltage rating. OTOH, bigger caps are more prone to cracks due to mechanical stress (longer lever).
    Also, if there is a 0603 pad, you'll have problems to fit a 0805 part on it and v.v.

    ]"DMP" stands for "do not populate". The pad is a placeholder for use in a specific/optional application or foran  alternative part and not used by default. 10uP probably is a typo and means 10µF. This value is typically used for blocking noise and stabilisation of analog reference or analog supply. The cap is usually a Tantalum type (low leakage).
