MSP4302471 - internal temperature sensor

Hi all,

As describes in the "ti 2xx" spreadsheet document, the MSP430_2471 supports the internal temperature sensor function.

In the same document, the MSP430_2471 seems to support an ADC  (slope).

Can anyone explain me how to implement this function due to the fact I did find nothing in the user guide.

Thanks in advance

  • Hi,

    Download the C code examples zip file from: http://www.ti.com/litv/zip/slac149a

    It contains an example code on how to take readings from the on board temperature sensor.

    "msp430x24x_adc12_03.c - ADC12, Sample A10 Temp, Set P1.0 if Temp ++ ~2C "

  • Hi,

    Thanks for your quick answer.

    I already dowloaded this C file. In fact, the ADC12 is not supported by the MSP430-2471.

    The only way to implement the internal temperature sensor is to use an ADC part : I don't find informations, in the user guide, about the A/D converter (slope) as indicated in the spreadsheet document.

    Regards

    Kyle
