Hi,
Could you please provide a little more information:
Which version of IAR do you use and which MSP430 device are you using - could you try using the latest version of IAR and see if your issue goes away?
Looking online, I've only seen this error mentioned as happening when you try to start a debug session - is this the same in your case?
Unfortunately as this sounds like it is an IAR issue, you may need to try contacting IAR support directly for help.

Katie
Hi,
I am using IAR version 5.50.2
device: MSP430F6777
But in IAR Target device selection MSP430F6777 is not available, so i have selected MSP430F67791, i think it is not the issue of device selection, because i am just opening the workspace and that warning is coming.
Pls suggest.

Hi yogendra,
Looking at the release notes, it looks like F6777 support should be in IAR 5.51.2: http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/IAR_Embedded_Workbench_Kickstart_for_TI_MSP430_Release_Notes
You may need to update your IAR to make sure you have device support for the part you are using.
In my IAR installation (5.60.2, which I should actualy probably update as I think 5.60.7 is out now) I had to go to the bottom of the list and click the arrow to get it to keep scrolling down before I was able to select the F6777. However, the reason I asked was because doing a little googling it looked like you might be able to see this if the memory didn't line up right for your part.
Do you happen to be using the IAR Kickstart (code limited) version? I think you could see this if the code in your workspace is too big and over the code limit. Do you still see the message if you just make a new clean workspace with a small project in it (like blink the LED)?
If you keep having problems, you'll probably need to contact IAR directly - they know their product better than we do of course.
Regards,
Katie
