I bought an ez430-rf2500 development kit some a few months ago when my computer had windows Vista and everything was working fine. I then upgraded to windows 7 and suddenly IAR kickstart edition (the latest one from the TI website) tells me that it "Failed to initialise. Check that hardware is connected. Check that drivers are installed." when I try to debug and download a program to the microcontroller.
The thing is that the last program I downloaded onto the two boards was the wireless sensing demo. I tried to open the wireless sensing demo program and it shows all the information from both the access point and the end device. I can even change the units from Fahrenheit to centigrade and vice versa.
This suggests that the problem is not with any windows 7 driver but with IAR. I even tried with Code Composer Studio v4 Core Edition and still nothing. I do not know what to do. According to the computer, the microcontroller is attached and working fine but IAR cannot write to it because it does not detect it. Is there a problem with IAR?
