How to interface peripherals with MSP430 Board

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM35

Dear Sir/Madam,

I know basics of MSP430. I have plan to do the project with the help of MSP430 board.

Project Components are:

  1. Two stepper motor
  2. Capacitive touch Sensing -- (UP, DOWN, LEFT & RIGHT)
  3. Graphical LCD
  4. LM 35

These components or devices need to interface with MSP430 Board. Which MSP430 Board is suitable and which touch screen interface is suited for controlling motor UP, DOWN, LEFT & RIGHT rather than using buttons.

Please help how to connect Stepper Motor, Graphical LCD Interface & Capacitive Touch Sensor to the I/O Ports in MSP430 Board.

Thanks & Regards,

Deepan J

  • 0. You did not specify chip, nor board you plan to use

    1. Did you try to use internet search services? Using search you would find TI app note, SLAA223

    2. There's lot of msp430 cap sense info around. You shall start with capsense boosterpack for LaunchPad and it's example projects

    3. Again you did not specify graphical LCD you plan to use. Yoy shall try using search. I recall that this forum had some threads. Internet search engines will give some useful links either

    4. You read LM35 output using ADC. Again there's lot of educational info about ADC of msp430 on internet, even about LM35

When you done checking available resources, have some ideas and considerations - you are welcome back
