EPD circuit design help

I am prototyping using the MSP430 LaunchPad and the TI EPD Booster Pack from Pervasive Displays. I was successfully able to display images on the EDP. After this proof of concept, I am now ready to move onto the next phase of my project - Developing the actual circuit board. The problem is I don't know how or what components are needed.

My application is quite simple and is nearly exact to what the booster pack provided me:

Connect microcontoller to a PC via micro USB
Transfer a single, 4bit grayscale image from the PC to be displayed on 1.73" EPD
Only one image will need to be stored and displayed.

Can anyone within TI or otherwise help me create this circuit so that I can integrate it into my full prototype?

Hi Ryan,

You can find the schematic for the BoosterPack on the Pervasive displays website: http://www.pervasivedisplays.com/kits/ext_kit

The LaunchPads all have the schematics available on www.ti.com/launchpad under each individual product listing. http://www.ti.com/ww/en/launchpad/launchpads-msp430-msp-exp430g2.html. Go to the tool folder to download design documents or use the upverter link.

Then its simply importing those schematics into your favorite EDA tool like EAGLE, Upverter, Altium and connecting them through the pinouts. Once you have schematic you can export the gerber files for your manufacturer to use for prototypes.

Thanks Mark. I am developing an application that requires 4-bit images (16 level grayscale) however the current booster pack circuit only allows for 1-bit images. I'm inquiring with Pervasive Display to find out what the limiting circuit component is. When I find this out, I can then proceed with your recommendation.

I would like to try to modify the booster pack to be able to display 4-bit image format. Does anyone know what component on the booster pack and/or launchpad is limiting the display to only show a 1-bit image format? I suspect it's the flash memory: MX25V8006M1I-13G SOP-8 Flash.
