MSP430 Application UART1 problem with MSP430FR5969 Launchpad

Just note that new MSP430F5529 LP and MSP430FR5969 LP use soft CDC interface (eZ-FET Lite) for application UART communication, wile older LP's have hardware USB/UART bridge on board, and this is not the same thing.

in last month i wrote article abut this board,

i checked uart and was ok ( Vista 32 bit )

I dont remember, but maybe changed "baud rate" on Pc

(always in msp launchpads was 9600 in fr-launchpad is different  )

try change baudrate,

It doesn't work with 9600 baud either. When I open hyperterminal and press a key to be send, the application locks (freezes).

Is there a firmware update for ezFET?

I was going to use the board as a network coordinator with 115200 baud, but it looks like it is not going to be.

msp430f5529LP (eZ-FET Lite) works fine with 115200 baud.

The problem is with eZ-FET Rev1.0

Sure it was between RTS/CTS and not DTR/DSR?

That’s strange. Never had to do it, and I work with HyperTerm for quite some time.
Maybe a bug in the VCP driver or the bridge firmware?
I use real serial ports (I have four serial and two parallel ports on my development machine)
And IIRC, this never has been reported for the G2 LaunchPads (with TUSB bridge chip).

If you have a MSP-EXP430FR5969 Rev 1.6 with a eZFET Rev 1.0 you can try it for yourself. No such a problem with 2259LP using eZFET lite.

Unfortunately I don’t have one. It is only available in a bundle with the sharp LCD booster pack, and my shop code won’t work for bundles, so I never ordered one.
