Can I Flash/Debug MSP430G2955 with my LaunchPad?

Hi

I have been using the MSPG2553 for a few years. I build PCBs and then program/debug my projects using 3 jumpers (Gnd, Test, Reset) between my Launchpad and the target MSPG2553 on my boards.

I recently got a micro-mill and I plan to build PCB milling isolation traces for 38PIN TSSOP surface mount packages.

This will allow me to use the  MSP430G2955  .

Here is my question: Can I flash/debug the MSP430G2955 using (Gnd, Test, Reset) jumpers from my LaunchPAD the same way I currently do it for the MSPG2553?

    MSP430G2955 is not supported by SBW with MSP430G2 LP (but it can be flashed by BSL based on MSP430G2 LP slaa535). MSP430F5529 LP work by SBW with MSP430G2955.

    Thank you for the info.

    It looks like I will have to look for another MSP430G 38 pin TSSOP because none of the G2x55 are available for pourchase. 

    The reason why I am staying away from the other packaging is only because I plan to use a CNC micro mill to do trace isolation and TSSOP is probably at the limit of what I can do with engraving.

    5 years ago, I was working on my own CNC solution for PCB's with 2 tolls (mill / drill) on Z, but it stay unfinished. Hope it will be finished one day. It is based on MSP430F550X with USB connection to PC.
