displaying text menu in lcd for msp430f5438 experimenter board

hello,

i am using msp430f5438 experimenter board.

i want to display text menu in the lcd monitor of the board.the text menu should have two cases ,some thing like

1)Time domain values

2)FFT

And when  i press joystick to select the options,the corresponding required action should be taken.

plz help.
