I'm using a TI dev board with an MSP430G2553 on, this board http://www.ti.com/tool/dac161s997evm, and am having problems programming the on board micro. Using the MSP-FET430UIF and either CCS5 or 6 when I try to debug a simple hello world flash an LED program I get the error "Error connecting to target: Unknown device". The MSP-FET is running V3 firmware and I have all the latest updates to CCS. The target is self powered and the board is set up for this (as can be seen on the schematic at the link).
I have been able to contact the micro when the MSP-FET was running V2 firmware but V2 does not have support for programming the MSP430G2553. Is there anything I can do to get this working?
