Hi there,

I'm developing app. using CC430F5137. And during firmware update, at the time of updating interrupt vectors I will be disabling interrupts. So, Is there any chance of something can actually harm CPU execution during updating these interrupt victors except power supply issue?.

I usually disable all interrupts and DMA during the entire firmware update process (not only when changing the interrupt vectors).

Thanks, So, If I disable interrupts and DMA , there is no chance of harming CPU execution whatsoever?

There can always be a power failure or ESD event at any time. Good update code can cope with this. (so at any time, the update process can be interrupted and will either continue or start over, without locking-up)
