Anyway, I think the biggest constraints would be the memory size of the BSL Flash which is < 2KB. But you can also take a look how the Chronos does the wireless update:

The Chronos is based on CC430 devices which shares same architecture with the MSP430x5xx (and even same BSL concept).

Thanks for your reply.

I have read through the supporting documentation and yes I also think that the 2kB is not enough for my bootloader and I can't see the source code for the Chronos, it just seems to be how to set it up and not how it works, am I missing something?

I have also been reading the source code for MSPBoot which appears to be what I need except that it is for FR5739, G2452, and G2553 based devices. I am thinking that I will just create my own version of MSPBoot to work with the F5510 using these examples unless you know of any that already exists?

Thank's for your help here.

I am creating my own bootloader using the MSPBoot as a guide and there is a hardware initialisation function that disables all interrupts which are cleared by POR but not by a PUC. Do you know where I can find which interrupts this applies to for the MSP430F5510? I have checked the data sheet for this uC and the family but I can't find anywhere that it states which ones are cleared by which type of reset.
