MSP-FET430U28A having empty socket or inbuilt  MSP430 devices in 20- or 28-pin processor ?

if empty socket means please tell me MSP430 device (20- or 28-pin) part number of processor.

    Hi Prabhakaran,

    As you can see from the picture and description on this tools page: http://www.ti.com/tool/MSP-FET430U28A this kit has a socket rather than having the device soldered on, so you can easily swap out parts.

    On the same page, under the "what's included" section, you can see that it comes with two 20 pin MSP430G2452 devices that can fit in the socket. The board can also support some 28 pin parts as well - at the bottom of the page you can find a list of associated devices that are compatible with this board if you get them in the 20 or 28 pin TSSOP package (part numbers would end with PW20 or PW28).
