MSP430 Launchpad Flash Programmer

My launchpad uploading code to my MSP430 chips stopped working and gives the following error:

Is there a flash programmer that can reset the launch pad? I have cycled power on the board, tried a different MSP430 chip, and restarted Code Composer but still get this error.

Hi Andrew, your problem looks like a hardware problem.maybe you can ensure that your mcu supply is right voltage and then you can try to another programming methode like jtag or spy bi wire. If you had none of them you can try bsl code that probably already reside in your msp.

For JTAG you need to a debugger maybe FET430IUF, and I refer to you check this wiki page about BSL

Hello Andrew,

What MCU device are you using? Have you verified that you have selected the correct device in CCS? Select project->properties->variant.

Also if the device is correct, try resetting the board while it is connected to the PC.

Sometimes, code that cause an instant reset can prevent a proper JTAG attach. In this case, it might help to use the free software from Elprotronic to trigger a mass erase. This software is a bit faster than the debugger IDE, and this might make a difference.
