From me reading it seems like using code composer studio 6 I could program and interface with an MSP430 via either an XDS100 debugger or one of the MSP430 specific emulators. I already have a couple XDS100 V2 devices with the 14 pin JTAG so would prefer to use those but I don't know what I would be giving up? What is special about the MSP specific emulators and programmers that I would be missing out if I didn't go that direction?
