    Hi kenfree,

    Could you please provide some more information about which particular tool that you are using to try to program and debug the MSP430? It is unclear from your post what MSP is being used, and what emulation tool is being used.

    Is it the MSP-FET, MSP-FET430UIF, or perhaps one of the MSP430 Launchpads?

    This information will make it easier for people to help you.
