I am using MSP430G2744(TSSOP 38 pin) and i would like to know how to burn/program this IC. Please if anyone can help me by recommending correct equipment or method

    Sagar, 

    If you go to the product page of your MCU, in the section 'Tools & software' you will find a Target board (+  USB programmer) to evaluate and program your MCU. 

    Other method's can be found in the related "MSP430 Hardware Tools User's Guide".

    But can you please tell me whats the use/function of target board and usb programmer ?? together and seperately ??

    The Target board ‘holds’ your MCU and can be connected through a JTAG connector.

    The USB programmer interfaces your PC (with programming software) USB connection through a JTAG connection with your Target board or any other custom board with a JTAG connector.
