Hi all,

i am using TMS320F28377D. in data sheet they mentiond only 7 bits are transmitted in

7 bit slave addressing mode. but actually after 7 bits 8th bit determines the write or read fro slave device. but there is no register to set whter 8th bit is 0 or 1 after transmitting 7 bits of slave address.

Please Help me

Look at Table 19-16 on page 1979. It describes the I2CMDR register field.

Bit 9 TRX sets the device to transmit or receive data on the SDA-line. The bit is set automatically.

Also, this is the MSP430 and not the TMS320 Forum. You were lucky to get an answer at all :)
However, on the MSP430 USCI module, it works the same way: the UCTR (transmit/receive) control bit is merged with the slave address to produce the I2C start byte.
