    The SYSRSTIV register can obtain more than one active flag. You keep reading reset causes until SYSRSTIV returns zero which means there are no more reset causes to read. Note that SYSRSTIV returns reset reasons in priority order (as defined by table Table 6-9. System Module Interrupt Vector Registers in the MSP430FR5969 datasheet) rather than the order the reset(s) causes occurred in.

    Should be noted that SYSRSTIV reports the causes of the last resets only once per reset reason, and in order of priority, not in order of occurrence. So some skill is required to interpret the readings if they differ from what you expect. Still a big help if something resets the device.
