Restore Ez-FET Lite firmware on launchpad board

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MSP430F5529, MSP430F5528, ENERGIA

I have MSP430F5529 launchpad board with currupted or not flashed at all firmware. PC detecting it as one USB hub and two USB HID devices (As I understand both MCUs running in BSL mode). I tried a lot of methods and eventually was able to flash the main microcontroller using "MSP430 USB Firmware Upgrade Example". But I could not flash Ez-FET Lite, which is represented by a chip MSP430F5528 - I got errors:

Memory verification error

I want set up Ez-FET Lite, because most of the applications (for example, Energia IDE) expect to see him and do not want to download the firmware via the BSL HID. In addition, Ez-FET provides opportunities for debugging. How can I restore the emulator firmware?

  • After many attempts flashing Ez-FET via "MSP430 USB Firmware Upgrade Example", it again show an error, but after reconnecting board programmer detected as two serial ports, but now MSP430Flasher fails:

  • Hi Ivan,
Have you been able to fix the memory verification error?
    Thanks,
    Somi.
