Fixing the boards (mounting holes)

Hi there,

I've noticed there aren't any mounting holes in the boards.

Any way to mount then in a box? or in a base?

I do not know what board you are talking about. But that does not matter. There are many board without mounting holes. They all can be used as is without a box or a base. They all can be put into a box snugly or loosely. They can be fitted on a jig too.

I talking about all launchpads!
Any solution in fixing them?
A jig could be a solution.
Any products?
I don't think everybody only use them around the desk??!!

MSP-EXP430F5529LP has 4 mounting holes wider then other LP and Booster.

EK-TM4C1294XL is also called a LaunchPad. It has 3 mounting holes.

Many boxes have those grooves where you can slide your board in. Of course the board you have is never that size your box actually is :-)

I would use hot glue in that case.

I personally won't prefer any box or base... as that would make it tough for probing points both above & below the launchpad. Yes, 4 holes to place spacers like these would be of little help but not required.

Yes, anti-static mats are extremely important to play with these launchpads.

I think some people use the EVAL-boards in their "final product" - perhaps mostly hobbyists. But I have something like that, too.

This is the poor man's SBW FET (of course this one can only program those smaller devices since it is limited by the launchpad).

I've made this one some time ago to re-program the characteristics of selfmade electronic speed controllers for brushless-motors in scale-models during the tests in the field. Didn't want to take the much more expensive original FET with me.

This will not win an award for prettiness, but it worked well :-)
