Hi,

 

How can I increase the clock frequency above 8MHz microcontroller MSP430FG4618 using the DCO? The maximum frequency of master clock(MCLK) is 8MHz microcontroller?

The maximum frequency obtained was 6.3 MHz with the DCO. In the Ports I / O the frequency is less than the clock frequency of microcontroller?

    Hi JFK,

    the maximum operating frequency (MCLK) of this device is 8MHz! Pls refer to chapter 5 of the Users Manual for details on this. Also note, the DCO is a RC-type oszillator, so it depends on voltage and temperature. If a high clock accuracy is needed I would recommend using a crystal or resonator (max 8MHz).

    Which clock source do you use for your I/O (MCLK, ACLK, SMCLK)? Could you post your clock setting pls to see how you configures ACKL and SMCLK?
