Hi,

I am using the MSP430FG4618/F2013 experimenter board. I am just using the 4618. For serial port communication DB 9 I want to connect it to a usb port since my laptop does not have a serial port. Which cable would be appropriate ? Can I use this cable  http://www.amazon.com/Startech-RS-232-Serial-Adapter-Retention/dp/B000HVHDJ8  or do I need something else ? Could this damage the MCU ?
