I have a custom PCB with a target MSP430F5529 chip. I am attempting to program it using Spy-Bi-Wire from the MSP430F5529LP's eZ-FET lite. I am using the GND connection from the LP, VCC, and the TEST/ SBWTCK and RST/ SBWTDIO to program it. I am using Energia to develop.
When trying to upload a program in Energia I receive the error:
tilib: MSP430_OpenDevice: Unknown device (error = 5)
I have verified that I am using the correct board in Energia and that RST/SBWTDIO is pulled high. I also verified that the pins were in fact connected to there respective jumpers and that my chip has power, etc.
I noticed that he launchpad schematic has a 47k ohm resistor room RST to VCC and my board does not. Is this the error I am making? If not are there any other suggestions that you can suggest.
