hello everyone.....

i am biggner to this msp430..and my doubt is how to create hex file in IAR?i am using here msp430fg4618

Hi!

in CCS4 you can try:

project properties -> c/c++ build -> build steps tab -> pst-build steps

using "apply predefined steps" -> create flash image intel hex.

I hope it works.

means we cnt create hex file in IAR.....?

Sorry, I misunderstood the question... I supposed your problem was to obtain an hex like IAR do using CCS.

I don't know about IAR... Too expensive when you can have a free environment :)

hello suman, next time please search the forum first. most questions have already been asked. see Generating a HEX or Binary file with IAR

in general, you need to go in Project > Options > Linker > Output.
