Not a guess: a blank check error means the flash wasn't erased. Besides a defective chip, it can mean:
- a previous erase wasn't successful due to insufficient supply or instable supply voltage, or
- the program doing the update wasn't configured to do an erase before trying to write to flash, or did only erase main memory and not erase info memory while the code contains data to be written into info memory. (IIRC, the latter is the default for the latest CCS, as a normal project does not contain info memory data, but info memory may contain factory-provided calibration data that shouldn't be erased by default)
