We have a MSP430F5438A and we'd like to connect to Ethernet. Is there any Abstract Control Model for MSP430 or other methods to let MSP430 to connect to Ethernet. Please help, Thanks.

It's hard to provide a specific suggestion since we have very little context as to what you're really trying to accomplish. Folks have used the MSP430 to communicate over Ethernet, but how you choose to do that is often dependent upon many other variables in your system. With that said, here's a few things for you to examine...
I'm not aware of an "Abstract Control Model" for Ethernet on the MSP430. In fact, I haven't really heard this phrased used other than in conjunction with USB (primarily CDC) drivers.
Googling "MSP430 Ethernet" brings up a host of links:
Many of these appear to have the MSP430 talk to an Ethernet controller via the serial port.
Another popular option nowadays is to let the MSP430 talk with the CC3100 WiFi device from TI. This lets the MSP430 issue SimpleLink command over a serial port to talk wirelessly to the net. Here's one of the many demo's that show this working:
Finally, the TM4C129 microcontroller from Texas Instruments has a built-in Ethernet controller.

Sure there is one for you, too.
Hi Dennis, the page you pointed to is of ETH product interfacing media access level, EX NATIONAL DPHY chip remembering also old past again National complete standard Ethernet interface, this is hystory and DPHY has sense on FPGA or ethernet enabled deviced like TIVA series, near non sense on MSP430.
To interface Ethernet some complete device has to be used like original WEB from Olimex based on crystal chip, or new boosterpack based on fast and cheap WIZZNET devices. TI just can provide WIFI solution on MSP or a TIVA but this is an expensive overkill, WIZNET ETHERCHIP cost is very low and ready to use boosterpack are on site and or MSP43oH too.
