What is max output current for an individual GPIO pin on the MSP430F5529?

I can't find this information anywhere. I checked MSP430F5529 datasheet and user's manual. The only thing close was the max total output current for all the outputs for a certain voltage drop and the typically total output current (datasheet P54-57).

The graphs that show output current against output voltage all have a plateau. But when you reach that plateau, the voltage drop is so high that your circuit is likely to fail anyway.

You have to specify what voltage drop you can tolerate before you can ask for the current.

To match the maximum values to the graphs, you have to scale the graphs appropriately.

I am not sure. Does this mean the max current of the total output is the same as the max current of a single output?

I did not say anything about the total output; these graphs apply only to single pins.

The total output limit is an additional restriction.

You could also say ‘Yes’, but I doubt if you can reach the “maximum allowed current per device” trough one port-pin even when you short the pin to Vcc or GND, which I wouldn’t advice to do.

The graphs are making more sense. I was a bit confused with the Outputs - General Purpose I/O sections on P54-55.

Seems like the each outputs can't draw much current, <5-30mA depending drive strength and Vcc.
