difference between XMS430F5438 and MSP430F5438

Using IAR to creat a MSP430F5438 project, when I configure the MCU, I found the device type has XMS430F5438, and there also has MSP430F5438. Then I search this in Google, but I can't find some effective the information. So I want to know the difference between XMS430F5438 and MSP430F5438.

There is no part XMS430F5438.

Please Explain:

This configuration is appeared in uCos that I download form http://www.micrium.com/.

I didn't know the difference, now I didn't have time to test, and I will test the different between those operations.

XMS430Fxxx is the part marking of a pre-(mass) production engineering sample , so the first revision.

Hello bihu,

The MSP430F5438 is big in size than XMS430F5438, Package is different. XMS has less onchip pheripherls. memory segment also different.

U have to take care when u r porting UCOS.
