ERROR msg: Could not find MSP-FET430UIF on specified COM port

I am using launchpad with MSP430G2553, configured for USB default port, and no other application running in my Windows 8 machine.

CCS v6.0.1, and I am getting always the same error: "Could not find MSP-FET430UIF on specified COM port".

I have tried several thinks I found in previous blogs but I can not make it work. Even I have changes the MSP430 IC with others

Any advise please?

Thank you Gautam for this,

I see that before and after connecting launchpad to USB, the hardware administration / USB controllers does not change at all, should that be modified withint the device manager?

In case I can not manage to use launchpad, would you advice any other tol in order to program MSP430G2553?
