My HP computer doesnt recognize the ez430/Chronos programming dongle

Message from customer:

"As for the problem with our computers, it seems it is related to our specific tablet PCs that we use.  They are HP tablet PCs and the USB driver for the emulator USB stick seems to be the problem.  I have tried this on 3 machines so far.  2 of the were running Windows XP and one was running Windows 7, all are 32-bit installs.  The message we get when we try to program the Chronos is:

"Error initializing emulator: Could not initialize device interface"

Actually, now with the Windows 7 tablet once the USB programmer is plugged in it will hard freeze the machine up.  I am very worried because I have 45 of these tablets that we use for the class and the only thing that works is the RF access point, the TI Control Center, and running CCS, no programming the devices.

We have set up a couple other machines that work fine, so we know the problem is the laptops.  Something about the chipset or something. "
