The MSP430FR5969's GUI is not coonecting to the code for taking temperature reading continuously over a period of time. Someone please help.

Could you please describe "GUI is not connecting" a little bit more in detail? Has your board enumerated properly in the device manager?

Yes, it has taken two COM ports, MSP Application UART1 (COM31) and MSP Debug Interface (COM32). Then according to the info in the GUI, I'm connecting to COM31, it isn't getting connected. Does it have anything to do with code running/suspended/stopped/uploaded in CC studio?

The program must run on the target board, of course.

Even now (after the code is running), the GUI is not able to connect to the controller to get the data.

Have you double checked if you downloaded the right firmware onto the target board? And did you try if it works when just plugging the board into the USB without having any IDE running in parallel? Are there any Rx/Tx jumpers on the board that are accidently not set ptoperly?

Yes, I'm running the GUI you gave me in my previous quest and yes, only CC studio and GUI are open in my machine. My target board is FR5969 only. I dont know about Rx/Tx jumpers

When I'm pressing connect more than once, It is showing 'Error: Writing to COM port (WriteFile): Invalid handle'

Maybe you go through the LaunchPad User's Guide for your board. It contains useful information.

This is a new board on which I'm working, so there is no point about Rx/Tx being connected or so. I've run only 2 programs on this till now
1. Blink and 2. Temperature Sensor one. Yeah, will read about the problem in User's Guide

I've checked the User's Guide but it does not solve my problem :/
Also, the max Voltage the MSP430FR5969 controller can take is 5V or 3.6V?

"Power" in watts is the product of voltage times current. So you mean voltage. And this is 4.1V as listed in the absolute maximum ratings, but the recommended operating condition has a maximum of 3.6V.

the GUI thing is not working, can you tell me how to discrete values from the code itself. Like, take the temperature for every 5s and store it somewhere for upto 100 values, then we can plot it in Excel. Help me with the modifications to the demo code
