Hi Everyone,

I have a challenge using the eZ430-Chronos watch. I'm looking to implement a data logging application where the user will input a number 1-10 and a time stamp will be collected. These two items will be done without the use of the buttons as the intended users will only have a single hand. Currently I have the slau259e, slau292g, cc430f6137, and triaxial accelerometer data sheet (BST-BMA250-DS002-05), but I'm having difficulty following the example code in the watch right now. What I'm looking for is a good walk through of the code.

My goal is to add a new menu item in the line 1 menu item stream to collect the user input and allow for tilt switch between menus (maybe L/R tilt for * and U/D for arrows and not use the # menu set as it is mainly for programming uses).

Any suggestions?

Hi Cameron,

I need a schematic that shows what pins all of the peripherals are connect to, particularly the LCD, flash memory and accelerometer. The example code is very large to try and link everything together. I figured there would be documentation on how the MSP430 was configured but I must have overlooked it.

Any leads?

The Watch Schematics, Gerber Files, and BOM Lists (table listing parts and their schematic designators), are available at www.ti.com/.../slau292g.pdf in section 4.5

Their are several versions of the watch and thus 3 sets of these, make sure you reference the correct schematics! :-)
You can check your watch version (at least on min) by looking at the back plate of the watch, it will be: eZ430-Chronos-ver.
There also seems to be a difference indicated by the coloring of the PCB.
