Hi all,
I am currently using the MSP430G2553 for a project which is in it's early stages and as part of the course I am looking into possible implications if this was made in volumes (doubtful but an interesting exercise). So I am exploring the possibility of creating a Hex file in CCS and then loading onto the G2553, currently I have only used the G series Launchpad to do this but using the conventional way to program a device. This is something I know very little about and from what I can see a rather expensive flash programmer is required, was reading the below post.

Which brings me to my question, are there any MSP430 series devices that can be programmed with Hex files which avoids expensive hardware interfaces? I ask this as it would be nice to provide potential updates to a user with some basic experience at a small expense, so any future updates can be upload on site.
Best regards,
Ant
