Good day, colleagues,

Could you tell me, do we have MSP-FET430UIF driver for the Windows 10 64-bit?

My customer tries to work with the CCS 6.1.0 under Windows 10 and got a message that system can't install the driver and now the device marked as unknown and doesn't work.

Since no one answered yet...I haven't tried it under Windows 10, but I will do it later and report if it worked or not.

At least for the MSP-FET I can say that the drivers are installed without problems. I will test the MSP-FET430UIF when I'm at home.

No problems regarding the older MSP-FET430UIF with CCS 6.1.0 and Windows 10.

Good day Dennis,

Thank you for answer. I provided a link to my customer with the driver and he installed it successfully.
But I think it depends on what software was installed previously. I can't check it on the pure fresh windows 10.

Hi Mikhail,

I am having the similar problems with the MSP-FET430UIF. Windows 10 appears to find the driver, but responds with error message "Driver is not intended for this platform". Could you post the link to the driver here?

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately the drivers in the link you sent me look like the same ones that came with IAR. None of which say they are for Windows 10. Maybe the older drivers should work for this debugger, but I keep getting the same error message saying the drivers are not intended for this platform.

Oh, I see,

Please, let me remember what customer did to get it working.

1. he installed the driver MSP-FET430UIF-VCP in manual mode from the package for the TUSB3410.
2. Run the CSS and tried to flash a MCU. CSS asked to refresh a software of the MSP-430FETUIF. He did it.
3. After the refresh the MSP-430UIF was founded by the Windows as the "Universal USB device"
4. He installed the driver from the link I gave you in manual mode.

After that all above he works fine till today.

sorry I didn;t tell you all this before, forgot that was made this way.

Maybe it happens because customer upgraded from 7 to 10 and old drivers made a conflict.
there is no chance to try pure new 10th version with the CSS and drivers with that software

I have tried everything you recommended. But I continue to get the same results.

I have yet to see any files or documents for the MSP-FET430UIF that are specific to Windows 10, though perhaps other programmers using the same OS are not having problems with the old drivers.

Hello Shaun,

Maybe it's a good idea to create a new question on E2E about windows 10? Or ask help your local TI' distributor (representative)?

I don't have windows 10 and can't even try.

This has become a critical issue. Latest Windows 10 will not let you install non-signed drivers.

We just had the case where a customer PC - for whatever reason - reverted to the drivers back to serial ports. Then we could not install the correct drivers because they are not signed.

Come on TI! Sign the drivers and release them!

I had problems with Olimex MSP430-JTAG-TINY-V2 programmer, it did not work with newest IAR workbench (6.50), possible because of "version 3 of the MSP430 protocol". The new IAR WB seems to work with the sllc428a usb serial driver and for example ez430-f2013.

This tip was great! Now CCS V3 runs with MSP-FET430UIF on Windows10!
