CCS says Error connecting to device

John, there is no picture to download in your post.

According to this document, page 4...

...the MSP430G2231 is supported by the eZ430-F2013, so if it does not work, then there might be a wrong hardware connection. Can you post a schematic that includes the connections between the USB-stick and the processor? Or at least give a detailed description?

Customer response:

The issue we are having is the board will not program.  At first we could not get the eZ430 to read with the board.  After scrubbing the schematic we found a few parts that needed to change.  After changing the parts the board now talks to the emulator, but it will not program.

I can get the program to debug now but the board will not take the program.  I am thinking the issue is with the eZ430 emulator not speaking to CCS properly.  Is there somewhere that I can set this in CCS?

Talking to the emulator is a step forward. Do you get any errors when simply trying to build the project? The "can't find a source file" error leads me to believe that the issue lies within your project contents, not the external hardware. Have you tried programming a simple example code project to the MSP430G2231? Also note that the target board (G2231-side) requires a 47 kOhm pull-up resistor on the RST line and a 100 nF pull-down capacitor on the Vcc line for proper SBW communication.

Customer feels they will be able to provide feedback by next Weds.

Customer confirmed R and C were correct values.
