How to serialize each target device by using the MSP-GANG Production Programmer?

I can find some topics about serial number or serialization from the MSP-GANG user's guide [SLAU358H], but no more detail on how to implement this function step by step.

I need some help to make it clear. Anything will be deeply grateful.

Hi,

I don't believe that serialization feature is available from the GUI, but that instead you need to use the MSP-GANG DLL to implement it - this is because the requirements for serialization can be very application or customer specific (you may have specific rules that you want for how your serial number looks or is generated). Using the DLL makes this entirely customizable because you can simply implement the serialization routine with C code.

The MSP-GANG software download includes DLL example projects that implement serialization, so that you could use these as an example. Simply look in your MSP-GANG install location like C:\Program Files(x86)\Texas Instruments\MSP-GANG\Examples. Here you can find folders like C_Applications_MSP_DLL and CPP_Applications_MSP_DLL that provide some DLL examples, and these include the serialization feature. You can use this as a guide and modify it however you'd like to fit how you'd want your serial number to be generated.
