Hex file tool to convert format

I need your help please, I am working with Intel hex files, one of the files is 10 hex format (:10) and the other file is 20 hex format (:20). My objective is to find a tool that could change this files to the same format, then I can compare them.

Do you know a tool that can do this?

Hello Gabriel,

So if I'm understanding your question correctly then the only difference between your Intel hex files is the byte count which indicates the number of bytes per line in the data field? If you were to ignore the checksum values then it would seem quite easy to compare them as they are.

This forum is designed for MSP430-specific questions so it seems as though your inquiry might be better addressed on a forum more focused towards programming languages and file formats.

Why can't you import the hex files (one at a time) into the Elprotronic MSP-FET programmer software and either just compare the checksums, or alternately, do a save-as on each file? That should write out both files in the same format.
