MSP GANG Programer status

Hi there;

When I was using MSP GANG Programmer, I found a curious status in PC Communication Box. In common connection, we found green checked status. However, I can see red "X" slash green check status. If device blank checking, this means memory is not clean. I can not expect the mean in PC Communication. Some errors occured in USB Line?

Please teach me what is "X shash check" mark in PC Communication Box.

    Hi Massa,

    Based on your screenshot, it looks like all of the operations with the MSP430 itself passed (erase, blank check, program, verify). The box with the X/check is indicating some trouble communicating over USB between the PC and the MSP-GANG tool I believe. I have seen this before, and usually clicking "refresh" will fix the issue.

    Are you having any problems programming parts when you are seeing this? I'll also consult with our designer to see if they have any more insights on this marking and let you know.

    Hi Massa,

    I consulted with our MSP-GANG expert, and they said that symbol means that there was some "retry" that occurred in the communication with the PC. Basically, if communication is corrupted you would just see the red X. If you see the error + OK, that means there was a retry but communication was successfully recovered.
