MSP430F6779A-Current and active power measurement issue

Hi all,

I am using slaa577g_reference design file for hardware design but for Analog Front-End (Current) ckt , which CT has to be used is not specified in the design file, what should be the turns ratio..

so i have used CT of turns ratio 2500:1 and remaining ckt is same and for 5A , i am getting ±620 mV at the the output which is less than maximum value specified.

But the problem is when i run the energy library file program, at the calibrator software it is showing correct voltage and frequency values but current and active power values are not showing properly, for 5A it is showing 30A and it is constant for all values of current... i am not getting the problem, why it is showing constant current of 30A...

Is there any problem in energy library file or my hardware...plz give me suggestions related to that..

Thanks....

  • Hello,

You may  look for current scale factor  values e.g  "DEFAULT_I_RMS_SCALE_FACTOR_A"  in emeter-3ph-neutral-6779(A).h file . and modify it to suit your current channel  h/w to see the effect.

  • I did that also but the problem is after changing the scaling factors ,on my display it is showing correct values and in calibrator software , it is showing different values like on my display it is showing 4.89A for 5A and on calibrator software it is showing 48.98A .

so main issue is how to do calibration......
