program is not dumping in flash memory

Dear All,

Using MSP430F5329 controller and CCSV6.1, dumping the program in to msp430F5329 using MSP430G2553 Launchpad it is dumping but after  pressing terminate button in CCS program is not running, changed msp430f5239.cmd file insted of lnk_msp430f5329.cmd at that time Errors are not getting but during of program dumping it showing  Loading program ERROR and Data verification error occurred,file load fail.  and

MSP430: File Loader: Verification failed: Values at address 0x0000000000000200 do not match Please verify target memory and memory map.
MSP430: GEL: File: C:\Users\Eeshan\workspace_v6_1\MSP430F532x_uscia0_uart_01_115200_baudrate\Debug\MSP430F532x_uscia0_uart_01_115200_baudrate.out: a data verification error occurred, file load failed.

    Hi Mahdhu!

    Your combination of processor (MSP430F5329) and programmer (MSP-EXP430G2) is not officially validated, means the processor is not supported by the FET on the G2 LaunchPad.

    Here is a document that lists the different combinations of processors and FETs (page 4).

    Sometimes you're lucky and it works, although the processor is not officially supported, but maybe that is the reason for your problem. You should at least use a LaunchPad with an eZ-FET (lite) or a standalone FET like the MSP-FET.

    thanks Dennis for giving replay,

    what ever you said i think it correct for dumping program, but after changing msp430f5239.cmd instead of lnk_msp430f5239.cmd why getting Loading program Error, attaching screen shot of that Error. help me to solve this problem.

    Hi Dennis,

    pursed MSP-FET 430UIF, drivers are not installed properly.i was searched no.of posts they suggested to install " Lite FET-Pro430 Elprotronic "  software, but also drivers are not installed. using CCSV6.1 version and lap is windows vista.

    i was tried another system that is windows7 and ccsv6.0 version in that drivers are installed properly but program is not dumping it is showing "Error connecting to the target Unkown device"  connection between MSP-FET430UIF and MSP430F5329 are

    giving  external power to controller (MSP430F5329)  and also checked with MSP-FET430UIF power supply by giving VCCO to VCC and VCCI to NC, But still program is not dumping, kindly suggest me to solve the problem.

    Do you want to use 4-wire JTAG or SBW? From your connections I would guess 4-wire JTAG. What have you connected to the RST pin of the microcontroller? Maybe the capacitance is too large?

    for quick reply i am using 4 wire JTAG and using RC is 47k/2.2nf.

    Is it a custom board or some sort of TI target board?

    From your posted connections, I cannot see any error. Maybe a wrong pin pin from the 14-pin connector? Here is a picture with the connections and the pin-numbers:

    ok Dennis,
    i have another problem MSP-FET430UIF drivers are not installing properly. my LAP OS is Windows vista and CCSV6.1 version. so is this the reason for Error(MSP430: Error initializing emulator: Interface Communication error).
