I am using CCS 6.1 trying to run the examples on MSP-EXP432P401R. The target can not be connected and I receive the error message as following. I used xdsdfu tool in command line to refreshing the firmware and it worked fine. But the error messages still appears when I try to run any examples.

Error connecting to the target:
(Error -1063 @ 0x0)
Device ID is not recognized or is not supported by driver. Confirm device and debug probe configuration is correct, or update device driver.
(Emulation package 6.0.83.0)

Hi Qiang,

Please run the factory reset in www.ti.com/.../slau575 (section 7).

If that does not work, you may want to take a look at this post:

Hi David,

Thanks for the reply. I think the post fix the problem. But my two boards only one is working. The other one just can not run the factory reset. The CS_DAP_) post just did not show up. I tried many times. Today, it finally came out, but when I tried to connect it, I got the error message:

CS_DAP_0: Error connecting to the target: (Error -615 @ 0x0) The target failed to see a correctly formatted SWD header. The connection to the target may be unreliable. Try lowering the TCLK setting before trying again. (Emulation package 6.0.83.0)

If possible I would like you to run some tests using and external debugger, do you have an external XDS200 or XDS100 emulator??
