Hey all,

Does anyone know if there is / has been efforts to build a Rust language compiler for the MSP430? I've seen it on BeagleBone and other ARM devices and it looks interesting.

The Rust FAQ says:

What are some non-goals?
To run on "every possible platform". It must eventually work without unnecessary compromises on widely-used hardware and software platforms.

It uses LLVM as backend, so MSP430 support would require quite a lot of effort.
