How to set the eZ430-Chronos back to default?

Two days ago I've bought a now eZ430-Chronos watch and tried to program on it. I've just loaded a sample code into it. The file seems to be loaded in successfully but then, it seems I've flashed all its features aways and now there shows nothing on the screen.

This is the sample code I've compiled and loaded:

#include "cc430x613x.h"

#define   Num_of_Results   8

volatile unsigned int A0results[Num_of_Results];
volatile unsigned int A1results[Num_of_Results];
volatile unsigned int A2results[Num_of_Results];
volatile unsigned int A3results[Num_of_Results];

void main(void)
{
  WDTCTL = WDTPW+WDTHOLD;                   // Stop watchdog timer

  P2SEL = 0x0F;                             // Enable A/D channel inputs

  ADC12CTL0 = ADC12ON+ADC12MSC+ADC12SHT0_8; // Turn on ADC12_A, extend sampling time
                                            // to avoid overflow of results
  ADC12CTL1 = ADC12SHP+ADC12CONSEQ_3;       // Use sampling timer, repeated sequence
  ADC12MCTL0 = ADC12INCH_0;                 // ref+=AVcc, channel = A0
  ADC12MCTL1 = ADC12INCH_1;                 // ref+=AVcc, channel = A1
  ADC12MCTL2 = ADC12INCH_2;                 // ref+=AVcc, channel = A2
  ADC12MCTL3 = ADC12INCH_3+ADC12EOS;        // ref+=AVcc, channel = A3, end seq.
  ADC12IE = 0x08;                           // Enable ADC12IFG.3
  ADC12CTL0 |= ADC12ENC;                    // Enable conversions
  ADC12CTL0 |= ADC12SC;                     // Start conversion - software trigger

  __bis_SR_register(LPM0_bits + GIE);       // Enter LPM0, Enable interrupts
  __no_operation();                         // For debugger
}

#pragma vector=ADC12_VECTOR

  }
}

  • Zhenxi Yang,

    to reload the original firmware (Sports Watch) you can open the Chronos Sports Watch project that comes with the software package. For more information on how to get started on developing with the Chronos, I highly recommend browsing through the wiki page for the Chronos.

  • Dunge:

    Thank you for your answer. I tried to reload the Chronos Sports Watch project but it failed with error: "ez430_chronos_ISM_EU.out" exceeds code size limit?

    Is there a way the set the code size limit or something?

    I can build and load the data logger project anyway, which means, the general settings are all right.

    the chronos projects include multiple configurations: unrestricted and  limited. if you're using the free IDE, you'll need to use the code size limited configuration otherwise you'll run into the IDE's code size limitation.

  • Thank you for your answer. Do you have any idea with and I find some software development document, explaining the parameters and related function? There are lots of the document showing the electrinic structure which are not that helpful.

    Anyway, I've found out a helloworld program but I don't know how those parameters are related to the electronic components. It will be even better if there exists some documentation introducing the foudamental value assignment rules.

    Anyway, thank you for your answer again.

    Adam
