MSP-EXP430FR4133 Launchpad, Rev 1.0, Windows 10 Home, CCS Version: 6.1.2.00014, using on board debugger.

The launchpad program only runs with CCS in debug mode. Program stops when I terminate the debug session. Also doesn't run when reset and /or powered with separate 3.3v supply.

The program uses a timer interrupt to measure an ADC channel and displays the value on the LCD display.

Hi John,

I'd like to get some more information from you in order to try to figure out what the issue is.

Have you done any hardware modifications to the launchpad?

I was wondering if you're having this issue with just this particular code you are trying to run or all pieces of code you've tried loading onto your launchpad. Try running the example Blink LED code (http://dev.ti.com/tirex/#/?link=MSPWare%2FDevices%2FMSP430%2FMSP430FR2XX_4XX%2FMSP430FR4133%2FExamples%2FC%2Fmsp430fr413x_1.c) and see if that will work if you reset it or use a separate power supply.

Lastly, would you be able to provide us with the code that you are trying to run on your launchpad?

Hi Akash,

Thank you for the reply. I have the code running know, I think this is what was wrong.

I used a GPIO initialization routine which configured the P1.2 and P2.6 buttons for interrupts but I wasn't using them and I didn't have a ISR for them. Possibly an interrupt was triggered when disconnecting from the debugger and when starting the launchpad while disconnected from the debugger.
