TI CapTIvate - MSP430FRxxxx - resources left over for embedded application?

Hello MSP430 forum,

We're considering the TI CapTIvate platform for a new project. Are there resources left over in the MSP430FRxxxx device to be able to add an embedded application or is the device dedicated to the Capacitive Touch application and the remainder of the platform needs to be used to implement the embedded code?

Any feedback or input is welcomed and appreciated!

Paul,

It depends on your application and button configuration that determines how much resources you have to work with. A lot of the CapTIvate technology is integrated in hardware which allows resources to be used on your application. Please see our CapTIvate portal for more information and design guides for the technology.

If you go to the example projects found at, software-dl.ti.com/.../ch_evm.html , you will see FRAM and RAM footprints for each demo. For example the bswp board consumes:
The typical memory requirements for this example when compiled using CCS are as follows:

Memory Section Requirement

RAM 1641B
