SPI interfacing with MSP432 and MPU-9250

Hi,

i am using MSP432 launch pad , i want interface this microcontroller with MPU-9250 sensor.

can anyone guide me how to interface it,

i saw example code which is given 3-wire incrementing slave mode as wella s Master mode.

Can anyone tell me which mode Do i have configure MSp432.

pleae make it soon.

if anyone knows can help me out with code

i am not able to find what and all register will be initilize of MPU-9250 before executing it.

Suppose it=f i run cod ein Master mode DO i have set SPi clk with 1 MHZ?

Hi Rahul,

I notice you've asked a similar question in the TM4C Microcontrollers Forum and have gotten some helpful replies over there.

Are you required to use SPI or could you use I2C instead? Using E2E's search feature, I found a thread discussing how to use the MSP432 to read from the MPU-9150 using I2C.

Also, I'd strongly recommend reading Section 7.5 (SPI Interface) in the MPU-9250 Product Specification, which specifies that the SPI is a 4-wire interface and that the MPU-9250 always operates as a Slave device during Master-Slave SPI operation. In the MSPWare code examples for MSP432, you'll find the eUSCI_A3, SPI 4-Wire Master Incremented Data code example, since the MSP432 will always be the Master device here.

Why are you asking for device ID, what is the error?

The device ID (in I2C devices) is register that contains a specific, fixed value that identifies the device - i.e. with a known return value.

Reading the device ID is used to verify:

the I2C access routines are working
the I2C setup (connections, speed, pull-ups, etc) is working
you are connected to the proper device

It is fruitless to focus on higher-level tasks like reading acceleration or angular rate (from that MPU-9xxx) when you can't even read the ID reg.

Do you mean address at which you access data? That would be 0x68.

The device doesn't seem to have a specific ID itself, as former variants had.

However, the integrated AK8963 magnetometer has one, at reg. offset 0 (ID = 48H).
